  • What happens if the employee with a disability doesn't perform his/her duties well?
    The same thing that happens if any employee doesn't perform his or her duties well. Coaching a discipline should be provided, and if necessary, the worker will have to be terminated based on established policies.
  • Do I need to provide special transportation accommodations for employees with disabilities to get to work?
    Transportation can be an obstacle for people with disabilities, just as it can be a challenge for other workers.   • Will employees with disabilities be absent from work a lot?
    Studies show that employees with disabilities are not absent any more than employees without disabilities.
  • Will it cost me a lot to accommodate a worker with a disability?

  • Will hiring workers with disabilities increase workers' compensation insurance rates?
    Insurance rates are based solely on the relative hazards of the operation and the organization's accident history, irrespective of whether workers have disabilities.
